In The House has performed for many of the finest organizations, venues and events throughout New England including the Swiss House, Swiss Consulate, Cambridge, MA; Sunshine For Kids/Make A Wish Foundation Fundraiser, Worcester, MA; The Hyatt Regency, Cambridge, MA; M.I.T. Cambridge, MA; Billerica Country Club, Billerica, MA; The Museum of Transportation, Brookline, MA; Crowne Plaza Hotel, Worcester, MA; Charles River Cruises, Boston, MA; Mass. Bay Summer Cruises, Boston, MA; Holliston Summer Concert Series, Holliston, MA; Concerts in Maverick Square, East Boston, MA; and Horizon’s Edge Casino Cruises, Lynn, MA. In choosing our repertoire, In The House focuses on music that is regularly in the public consciousness but is also known for playing that lost “Hit” that everyone loved but forgot about. Songs from the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s are chosen because they have the same effect on the twenty and thirty-something audiences as do current hits that we play, having recently been in popular movie soundtracks, television commercials and remakes by current artists, making every song recognizable. We’re also happy to add Big Band and Latin favorites on request! In The House doesn’t go through the motions playing the same tired old format. Each song is updated to fit our style. Whether it’s adding a touch of Hip-Hop, Latin, Island, or Jazz or roughing up the edges to give it a new feel, each song is a new experience.
In The House realizes that each event is unique therefore each performance is programmed accordingly and, with advance notice, if a song that is important for your event is not in our repertoire we will be happy to add it to our growing list. Our standard seven-piece band featuring guitar, bass, drums, percussion, saxophone, trumpet and vocals provides all of the excitement and versatility needed for most clubs and events. Five to nine-pieces including keyboards and trombone are also available to fit any budget. In The House features three lead vocalists who also provide full background vocals as well as a variety to our sound that few bands can come close to providing. And if you’re looking for something to set the mood during cocktails and dinner, In The House can perform Latin/Smooth Jazz with solo guitar or R&B ballads with full band, featuring the music of Anita Baker, Cassandra Wilson, Etta James, and Jobim.
